"This day in Constitution history..." October 21, 1797 - USS Constitution is launched in Boston harbor. Watch for special celebrations. One of the great national treasures - Old Ironsides - is berthed in Boston ! Go aboard and imagine the life of a sailor in the early 19th century, take a tour, and let the sea get into your bones. Join the guides every 15 minutes (in peak season), dressed in 1813 period uniforms, to learn what it was like to crew such a magnificent battleship. She is still a commissioned ship and active US Navy Sailors operate the USS Constitution.
